Get inspired by over 1500 designers from home and abroad. Dutch Design Week is the largest and most comprehensive design event in the Netherlands. The latest and most exicting work in the field of industrial design, concept design, graphic design, textiles&fashion , spatial design, food design and design management is showcased in about 60 location throughout the city eindhoven.


I was there and have some impressions for you.
High heels, a teenyweeny bikini a big smile with bright with little teeth….
Sophie Duran created a collection of fashion fabrics and accessories that address this double feelings.

Life is not a fairytale?
Mari Tosmin loves fairytales. They bring back beautiful memories of her childhood.
She printed bed lines and bags with a special thermochromic ink that reacts to the body warmth or the outside temperature.
In this way the fairytales come o life and the print change the color.
Naturally I also bought one…



Anne Smolders immersed herself in the seven sins and gave her own interpretation of them.
She illustrates vanity, for example, trough a portrait of a beautiful women wearing a mask that shows how transient beauty is.

Grief, loneliness, emptiness.
Gabriela Sachez y Sanchez de la Baquera used the power of these emotions as the inspiration for a collection of a richly decorated fashion fabrics.
Combined embroidery work, plastic, digital, silk, Lycra and leather. The result is a mix of fierceness and lightness, gloss and matte.
When I looked at the art I also got in contact with some interessting people….
