Istanbul Fashion Week – Mehtap Elaidi

Istanbul Fashion Week – Mehtap Elaidi is a fashion designer from Istanbul, she opened her first store in 2000 and her activity has been growing ever since. Mehtap doesn’t follow any trends, she rather considers them as reference points and I think that you can tell looking at her work. The color red was on the spot, supposedly one of the must-have colors of 2012, but not necessarily the main focus, as other colors that don’t have the same status at the moment were also used, at the same level in fact. Former models and celebrities supported her show, of course unfamiliar in my eyes, but the crowd appreciated the gesture a lot and it really added on some elegance to the event!
