“A tribute to Guy Bourdin” – Nowness has hired the director Richard Burbridge in order to film “Ode and Guy Bourdin”. The result is this bizarre visualization of his photography with Irina Lazareanu. Bourdin was one of the most famous photographers in the world of fashion in the 20th century, on the one hand comparable to Helmut Newton and on the other hand not.

Tamara Mellon – Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon has been named chief creative officer of the eponymous footwear company. Former Vogue accessories editor Tamara began the luxury footwear company in 1996 with the designer Jimmy Choo himself. Choo later sold his stake for £10m in 2001. Tamara was previously known as founder and president and her new role is to oversee the company’s brand image, design, pr and advertising.

Ten years ago Guy Bourdin, naturally  his book is a part in my book case, started  followed by Harri Peccinotti, Saul Leiter, Melvin Sokolsky and Peter Knapp. Now This Year there is a retrospective of the Swiss Photography Legend Walter Pfeiffer.

Vogue is without doubt the world’s most influential fashion magazine. Till now it was published in 17 countries and one region like Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany,Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latin America, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States.

Now this month there is the first issue of a new Vogue. The Vogue Turkey. Finally also Turkey have their Fashion Bible.

I always buy the Vogue but today It was even more like a present in my hands when I first of all saw this Cover with, in my opinion one of the hottest Girls, Alexa Chung and next to that a Shooting with Tim Walker. I adore him like nobody  else in Photography.

The skate board producer Doodah’s, which is also present in our  Streetwear Area, publishes a special edition of deck titled „Supermodels Skate Projects“. Supermodels like Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Edita Vilkeviciute and Erin Wasson posed in front of the cam of Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer. These hot boards are limited on 150 pieces/photo and will be around 100 $.
